When Brian contacted me last summer, prior to his trip to Paris in October, I immediately knew he was planning a true meaningful moment for his whole family. Indeed, he was coming to Paris with his partner Ashley along with their two daughters, and he thought it was the perfect occasion to ask her to marry him! A proposal in front of the Eiffel Tower, with their daughters witnessing this important moment: what could be missing? I have an idea...
Brian wanted to plan a special proposal in Paris, romantic without being too cheesy, a surprise that she could not have ever imagined. He had the idea of a specific
song, related to Ashley's family: that's how he found me! Music is part of every stage of our lives, and can also be a fantastic idea for a proposal.
It also helped to make this moment unforgettable, because the couple can really settle down and enjoy this big moment, without being rushed into the
proposal!
When the family arrived in front of the Eiffel Tower, I was acting as a random musician and singer, performing in the street. However, when Brian stopped Ashley in front of me, I started singing their favorite song with my ukulele: and then, it began! Ashley was very surprised, and started realizing that something was up as I was singing 'Stand by me' by Ben E. King, a classic which is perfect before asking your loved one to marry you in Paris!
After this first song, I took a few steps on the side to let them have their moment: Brian put his knee down, and asked Ashley to marry her, in front of the Eiffel Tower. Of course, she said... yes!
After this big 'yes', I came back for a second song: 'I can't stop loving you' by Ray Charles, which I learnt especially for them: I love performing specific songs that have a true meaning for my couples! This second song allowed them to enjoy this moment, the surprise and the joy! It was a wonderful proposal in Paris.
